This story takes place in a fantasy world in which humans coexist with a peculiar race of anthropomorphic beings called “plushies”.

In a darkly comedic and satiric tone, these “beings” have suffered the abuse and arrogance of humans throughout history, up until today.

...in a world in which humans and stuffed animals coexist, three cast members of a children’s TV show have been fired due to low ratings...

In this context of discrimination, three anthropomorphic friends who work on a children’s TV show called The Poochie Poochies are fired due to low ratings. Humiliated and unemployed, these three plushies (a bear, a llama, and a squirrel) will search for the way of recovering the success they once had.

The first encounter with this race took place in 1543, when a ship filled with fur trappers discovered anthropomorphs on an unknown island north of Asia, which they named “Fur Paradise”.

About the author

Hernán Rodriguez Matte has written and developed 15 TV series aired on channels such as Netflix, HBO LATINO, MTV, and Sony Channel among others. Author of the novel Barrio Alto and creator of the tv series “Welcome to reality” produced by Sony Pictures International and aired in more than 8 countries including USA through MTV and Tr3s Media Channel. Later on he created the Mexican version called “Bienvenida Realidad” aired in Cadena Tres Network.
He is also the creator of the tv series, “Papa Mono” aired on Chilean network Channel 13 and the creator of the hit sitcom “La Colonia” which ran for 180 episodes on Mexican cable TVC network.

As a TV executive, Rodriguez Matte has developed more than a dozen shows including the critically acclaimed series ”El Reemplazante” currently on Netflix. "Secret Diary of a Call Girl" and “Bim Bam Bum” to name a few. He’s latest tv series as a show runner “Manual para Galanes” was produced by Sony Pictures and premiered this year on Claro Video, which has over 2.4 million subscribers.
He is currently writing the next movie for acclaimed filmmaker Pablo Larrain.
